Six teams tied at 7 under par during competition of the weekly Tuesday Scramble here. Winners in the playoff were Shane McCloud, Dan Verble, James Clinton, and Ken Haynes helped by Haynes closest to the hole winning shot of 39″ from the pin.

Seven under par won the most recent couples scramble at Belle Acres Golf Course. Roy Hurst was accompanied by the “Belles” to win. While Kathy Beth Glover was the closest to the pin winner at 36″.

After the rain on Thursday, 28 players took part in the Couples Scramble at Southern Hills Country Club. Randy Elrod and Dianne Crouch were joined by Raymond Randolph and his daughter , Amanda to win . Their 8 under score was assisted by Amanda’s closest to the hole winning shot of 5 ‘ away from the # 11 pin.

Mike DeLapp wins the Tuesday scramble here for the second consecutive week. This time he teamed with Jeff Henley,  Jamall Henley, And James Garrett to post a score of 7 under par.

Winning the closest to the pin competition was Ben Perron with a shot of just 38″ away.

40 Players for Southern Hills Scramble

10 teams of four competed for the night’s honors resulting in a two way tie at 6 under par that was decided by a “chip off”. The winning team was (L-R) Key Haynes, Ronnie Brown, Jason Watts and Bob Striggo as Jason chipped the closest for his team.

Closest to the hole winners were Tom Childers on #3 at 3ft, and Jay Eland on #6 at 5’3″.

24 Points Wins it for Skocelas and Henley

Jerry Skocelas (not Pictured) and Ralph Henley posted 4 birdies, 3 pars and 2 bogeys to tally 24 points on a modified Stableford system and win the fourth week of play on the Scramble Tour sponsored by Miller Light. Cookeville Golf Club awarded the winners a certificate for 9 holes of play at the course. A total of 19 players took part in the play with Fred Hennings drawing the “Odd Man Out” honors. Complete results can be seen by clicking the Scramble Tour link above.

The Tour plays next at White Plains Golf Course on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 with a 5 p.m. tee time. New players are always welcome.

Great weather for the Wednesday Scramble at Southern Hills Country Club. It brought out 36 players making 9 teams.  And the winners were:

Scott Anderson, Ricky Norville, Rob Lollar and Joe Ferguson with a score of 7-Under.

Scott Anderson assisted the team with his CTH on #3, 8 feet from the pin, making for a birdie on this hole.

And Congratulations to Bill Schaffner for his CTH on #9, 20 feet from the pin.

First Time Winner on Scramble Tour

Shane McCloud joined the Scramble Tour sponsored by Miller Light for the first time as this season began and has been steadily moving up the Leader Board resulting in a win on this the 3rd week of the Tour’s season. Teaming with Chuck Rossow the pair carded 3 birdies, 5 pars and a bogey to total 23 points on the modified Stableford system used by the Tour. This was Rossow’s second win, his first coming during the 2009 season. Each player was awarded a nine hole round provided by the host course, Ironwood.

After 3 weeks of play Harold Penley leads the championship points chase with 82 total points. The Tour plays a 20 week season and accumulates each player’s points to determine a season champion. For more information click the Scramble Tour link near the top of this page.
