WHITE PLAINS GOLF COURSE – Despite earlier rain and a threatening nearby storm the Scramble Tour sponsored by Miller Lite completed its round with Dustin Reels and Bob Weaver winning the week’s honors at 22 points. Robert Null and Bryan Lynchard scored 21 to take second place. Complements of White Plains Golf Course the winners each received a certificate for nine holes of play. Dale Hair was the lucky winner of the week’s door prize.
The Tour plays a 20 week schedule rotating among the area courses and each player accumulates points toward a season championship counting the player’s 16 best weekly scores. See the current standings here. The next round is scheduled for Ironwood Golf Course on Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Tee Time is 5 p.m. New players are always welcome.
Over 40 players showed up to battle it out at White Plains on Thursday night August 14, 2009! After all the scorecards were turned in, a shootout at dusk from 100 yards was necessary. The team of (L-R) Danny Lee, Glynn Lafever, Eddie Gaw, Rob Lollar and Bernie Wickersham came out victorious with the team of (L-R) Derrek Clemcow, Harold Jackson, Slade Stroud, Lonnie Alexander and Jason Clark coming in a close 2nd. Bernie Wickersham got the prize for longest putt and Klayton Hoffman won closest to pin honors. Door prizes were also awarded to some lucky players. Be sure to come out next week and join in the fun!

White Plains Golf Course will host a Ladies Golf Clinic beginning Monday Sept 14th and continuing each Monday for six weeks. The clinic will be conducted from 9-10:30 each morning. The cost is $90 for the six week session. The clinic is limited to 12 participants and participation is on a first PAID basis. Read More

WHITE PLAINS – Thursday July 30th saw another good turn out of 40 players for the Thursday Night Scramble at White Plains. Eric Burton, Rob Lollar, Josh Stevens and Tony Oliphant carded the winning score of eleven under. Coming in 2nd was the team of Dean Hoffman, Josh Clark, Ryan Allison and Ray Wear. Players also claiming prizes were Matt Barefoot for closest to the pin at nine feet and Eric Burton for longest putt at three feet and eleven inches. White Plains looks forward to seeing everyone this Thursday.
A nice crowd of 44 players showed up on Thursday night to enjoy some great golf. When the scorecards came in it was five teams at 8 under par. A shoot out from the 100 yard marker was won by the team of John Williams, Rob Lollar, Jim Winters, and Tim Huddleston. Second place was the team of Kyle Judd, James Medley, Eric Burton & Bob Cumby. Buddy Kendziora won the closest to pin on #6 by sticking it to 18″ and Jim Winters won the longest putt made,
snaking in a 12’9″ putt on #9. Door prize winners included John Williams, Peter Grima, Phil Ramsey, Jason Clark and Glenn Lafever.
