Danielle Downey Captures Title at 2010 Tennessee Women’s Open Championship

WOMEN'S OPEN CHAMP-Danielle Downey (center) shot a two-under 214 to win the Tennessee Women's Open on July 24, topping second-place Margaret Shirley (left), who was also the low amateur. Downey is from Clearwater, Florida, while Shirley, the assistant women's golf coach at the University of Georgia, is from Athens, Georgia. Downey won the tournament, played at Stonehenge Golf Club at Fairfield Glade near Crossville (TN), in a one-hole playoff. Making the trophy presentations was City of Crossville mayor J.H. Graham III. Scramble Tour Fields 24 Players For June 30 Play

Peter Grima and Bob Dillon score 25 to win the week.

Bob Dillon(L) and Peter Grima win the Scramble Tour sponsored by MIller Light event at White Plains.

Besting a record field of 24 players, Bob Dillon and Peter Grima posted an eagle, 1 birdie, 6 pars and a bogey to score 25 on the modified Stableford system used by the Scramble Tour sponsored by Miller Light. Each was awarded a round of play by the host course, White Plains. Sean Monday and Chuck Rossow scored 22 for a second place finish and 5 teams scored 20 to tie for third place.
